How often did the stone age people have feasts?

Although the stone age was a long time ago (in some parts of the world it progressed to the bronze age about 8000 years ago) the stone age persists in some form, in some isolated parts of the world, even today (although the remaining stone age tribes are dwindling as civilization encroaches) so we do have a pretty good idea of how people lived and what they did. When a large animal such as a buffalo, an elk, etc., is successfully hunted and killed, there is a feast. This is very logical because the stone age has little or no technology or technique by which food can be preserved, so when you have a lot of meat, you have to eat it quickly before it goes bad. Hence, you have a feast.
