How did Lewis and clark recruit and train men?

Lewis and Clark recruited men primarily from their home states of Virginia and Pennsylvania, as well as from the frontier regions. They sought individuals with specific skills, such as hunters, boatmen, and interpreters, to aid in their expedition.
