What is the purpose of knowledge and wisdom?

Our natural curiOSity motivates us to search for explanations, whether that be to understand how the toaster works, or on a deeper level to explore the reasons for existence. Knowledge and wisdom help us understand our position in the universe, our role and our function. With knowledge and wisdom we can interpret our experiences and consider eventualities. They provide us with the ability to decide for ourselves; to make wise choices based on our knowledge.
