well a watercooled motorcycle has a radiator much like a car... it works the same way, you would see it on the front of the bike, behind the front tire... this type of cooling is great for in town or when doing a lot of idling because it is automatically keeping the engine at a proper temperature all the time... an air cooled motorcycle engine is cooled by the wind and air around the motorcycle while driving... therefore if you are spending a lot of time idling there is little wind cooling the engine and there is a possibility of the engine over heating or running too hot... what this means is if you're spending more time on the highway than you are idling, air cooled is perfectly fine and a little cheaper, if you spend more time idling than you do on the highway than you may be better off getting a water cooled bike
