Why do mafia people get away with murder?

The reason they kill is because an agreement is broken, or for their own security, or flourishment. They also kill for shear reputation. Most mafiOSi are naturally predisposed pscyhopaths so murdering is easy and since they have no natural remorse, and it can benefit them in so many ways, that is why they resort to killing.
