Where are cucumbers grown in Australia?

Cucumbers are in the same family of fruit as melons. Cucumbers are native to the Middle and Far East. Since the early 1800's, cucumbers and melons have been grown in North America.

Cucumbers are now grown virtually everywhere in the world, with the exception of Antarctica. Even in the Artic North, in a heated greenhouse, the cucumber can be grown. There are green, white, brown, yellow and red cucumbers. Most cucumbers are eaten in an unripe state.

Watermelon, which is not related to the cucumber, originally came from Africa.
