They say don't change it for 12 weeks - and then you are free to take it out.
However, mine still gets sore 15 months on and acts like it hasn't healed. Probably because I fiddled with it and changed the earring loads mere days after the piercing. (Stupid, I know!)
It can take up to 12 months to sufficiently heal, although sometimes it's impossible to determine just how 100% healed your ear is.
So basically if you got it done in March, June will be fine for the change! :)
Just be careful when violating your ear too much, it can make it easily swell and get hot and sore. If it does, it'll go down within a few days. Take care :)
