A:The good news is that the world is not an advocate for homosexuality; just as many people imagine it to be an advocate for (heterosexual) free love although again this is not really true. I think the difference is that the world has become less intolerant than in the times of our parents and grandparents. If you want to teach your children that homosexuality is a sin, go ahead because you can. However, I suggest that this will achieve nothing of lasting value. Your children are far more likely to grow up tolerant and accepting, and judge people as they find them rather than on their relationships. If you are worried about your children showing homosexual tendencies, anecdotal evidence suggests that even strong Christians, including priests and clergymen, can be homosexual. So teaching children that this is a sin will not change their lifestyles. Far better to know that most children grow up as healthy, normal heterosexual adults, and then relax and wait for your children to do the same.
