No there isn't.
With the exception of the floors of very deep craters at the lunar north and south poles all areas of the moon are exposed to sunlight during some point of its orbit. If you accept that the full moon is when the Earth facing side is sunlit, then it is equally easy to see that the "dark of the moon" or new moon has the opposite side fully sunlit.
