What will happen if you smoke 3 hours after your surgery for wisdom teeth?

I would not recommend smoking on the same day as you have a wisdom tooth removed. More than likely you run a VERY HIGH risk of developing a dry socket. This means the blood clot that is supposed to form in your mouth won't form properly or will dislodge causing extreme PAIN!!! It's not worth the risk! I am not a dentist, but have just had my teeth out and was advised by my dentist not to do it!! It may be hard, but enduring the pain will be harder.
