Define religion and the church in the modern world?

religion is man trying to reach out to God through rituals and practices while the church is a collection of believers these have not changed it is just the how they are expressed that has evolved through the time

in the modern times Christianity has become more clarified and has clearly separated itself as God reaching out to man in love which is different to that formerly widely held notion that mankind has to try and please an impersonal emotionless God.

The Church has now evolved in the present day to become an organisation/ collection of individuals who might not have had the same revelation about God but due to a variety of reasons meets with other believers to try and make sense of life and find spiritual answers to their question of life.

In the modern world the failure by people to distinguish between church and NGO (non governmental organisations) or society has resulted in the ignorant abuse of the institution of church church institution
