Where did the profession of chiropractor originate?

Hippocrates was using primitive forms of manipulation of bones and joints in 400 BC.

"Get knowledge of the spine, for this is the requisite for many diseases." ..Hippocrates, 460-377 BC.

It has since been used by almost every culture. It has been called many names through history, most familiar to us would be "bone-setter" in Britain in the 1800s. "Chiropractic" as a named profession began about 100 years ago in the US when an entrepreneur named it that (DD Palmer).
