What can you contribute to make your country a better place to live?

If you are in the United States: There is a presidential election coming up, and it is imperative that you and all other Americans attempt to elect a president who believes in capitalism, the greatest economic experiment ever devised and put into great use. Without our capitalistic economic system, this country would no longer be called "the land of opportunity," or "the American dream" Capitalism is the system that enables a person with gumption, intelligence, desire for family enhancement, or desire for better jobs to realize those things for himself and his family.

But, you can't do it yourself. Our country elects electors to do that job for us. How do our electors KNOW who we want in seats of government power? We have to tell them. Please read a daily newspaper, especially noting what your congressmen and senators believe and how they intend to go about achieving it. Then, you look in your local phone book, and if they're not listed there, phone your county commission or Voter Registration and ask them who your House of Representatives reps are from your district to Washington, DC. Then call all your reps and ask in a polite way that if you vote for them, what they intend to do about (here, name the projects you're interested in.)

And, by the way, the person who will answer the phone will be only a young aide, who probably knows less than you do about the subject at hand, but they are presumably able to write down "yes" or "no," whichever you say you're

in favor of. Then the aide takes down your name, address, and phone number and writes you a letter saying that Senator____ is very glad to hear from you and is pleased that you are supporting his bill #5567. But, then you have to call the aide back to say that you are NOT supporting that bill, and so on and so on.

You must decide which senators or congressmen are best for you and your state and push to try to get them elected. If you don't like the current President of the United States, or the Secretary of State, or any of the rest of them, for God's sake try to keep them from being re-elected. We do NOT, repeat, NOT need a president of the United States of America who is a fascist, or a communist, or a socialist, or a schizophrenic. We need a person who is a CAPITALIST and loves this country and will do all in his power to see that it continues to be the most wonderful country ever upon the face of this planet.
