Use a mild dish soap and a soft brush. After drying the item carefully, wax with a quality furniture wax. Be sure that the wax does not contain silicon! A mixture containing part Carnuba wax is ideal for the hardness of the wax. Buff with a soft cloth and enjoy!

If your piece is badly scratched, try taking it to a jeweler and see if they will buff it with jewelers rouge.
