How do I write a speech from the mother of the groom?

Remembering that a wedding is really an expression of love from all fronts, the mother (and mother-in-law to be) has a major part in conveying the tone. A large part of the speech will be to tell about the son from a mother's viewpoint - a way for the first woman his life to share her love for him since the moment of his birth and even before. A second feature is to welcome the wife and her family into her familiy. The mother of groom might use the opportunity to say how much she loves her son's choice of wife and how well she will fit into their family.
