he was the messenger of Allah whome he had sent for the benifit of mankind.he was known as "khatimun nabin" ,this means that no more prophets will appear after him.the difference between the Holy Prophet and other prophets was that other prophets was that other prophet were sent to a perticular tribe or nation while the holy prophet was sent to all the mankind
