Charlotte Dymond was murdered on Bodmin Moor in Cornwall in 1844 by her former lover, Matthew Weeks. After a quarrel, Weeks lured her to a secluded area where he brutally stabbed her with a knife. Her body was later discovered, leading to Weeks’ arrest and subsequent trial, where he was found guilty and executed for the crime.
