What time of year is basketball played?

usually 20 wins for a single team is farelly comman, but anything below is usually not going to get you into the ncaa tournament. bubble teams this year for the ncaa tournament that didnt get in were washington(21-10) and seten hall(20-13). both were considered huge snubs or teams that should have gotten in. :)
