How many cams does a 5.4 have?

It depends if your referring to Ford's 5.4 liter V-8. If so it can vary! Your basic run of the mill truck and van 5.4's have 2, 1 per head. If your looking at a mustang GT prepped by Roush or Shelby they have put 2 cams per head. You can tell in the engine description, OHC (over-head cam) has a single cam per side, DOHC (double overhead cam) has 2 per head.
