Why is Neptune blue?

Well, isn't Neptune a beautiful shade of blue? That lovely hue comes from a combination of gases in its atmosphere, like methane, which absorbs red light and reflects blue light back out into space. Just like using different colors to paint a beautiful scene, nature on Neptune mixes just the right elements to give us a masterpiece of a planet.
