Is tornado very dangerous

The Tri-State tornado had a number of factors that made it so deadly.

First it was a very powerful tornado, most likely an F5, capable of completely obliterating well built structures.

Second it had an unusually long damage path, the longest ever recorded, and was 3/4 mile to 1 mile wide as a result it affected a very large area.

Third, its large size and the low cloud base of its parent storm made it difficult to discern as a tornado.

Fourth, it moved very quickly, at times over 70 mph, leaving little time to prepare.

Finally, this tornado touched down in a time when there were no tornado warnings.
