How can you protect your civil rights?

You can protect your civil rights by remembering "KED". It stands for:

• Know your rights.
• Exercise your rights.
• Defend the rights of others.

You should know your rights in order to protect them. Start with reading the first ten amendments of the United States Constitution. These are your most sacred rights but these rights do have limits. If you wish to excerise your rights, like to protest, you should not infringe on others rights. Such as their right to free travel, not to be disturbed after sunset, etc. Note that just because someone disagrees with your message does not mean you're infringing on their rights. Which is the reason for defending others' rights, you have the right to preach but others have the right to ignore and to respect that is the foundation of securing the blessings of liberty for your generation and next.
