How hydraulics machine work as a magnifier?

A piston with a small surface area, is used to push fluid through a pipe, to a piston with a large surface area.
The force used to push the small piston, will be divided into the larger surface area of the second piston.
The larger piston will move a smaller amount, but will have more force, proportional to the difference in sizes.
