Do you have to be a senior citizen to live in an assisted living facility?

In order to qualify for care at an assisted living home around the country you must be able to show that additional help is needed to perform activities of daily living (ADL's), but you wish to live as independently as long as possible. These facilities are reserved for the elderly population, but care is given to those who need it regardless of age.
