What is the English translation of tagalog phrase tangna mo mahal kita?

The first two Words (tangna mo) are contracted swear Words which could be translated as "you son of a bch." The last two Words (mahal kita) means "I love you." In Tagalog, the sentence is partly endearing. The translation is "I love you, you son of bch" but the closest rendering in English would be "I love you, you idiot."
