What is radiotherapry?

Radiotherapy, also known as radiation therapy, is a medical treatment that uses high doses of radiation to kill or damage cancer cells. It can be delivered externally, using machines that direct radiation beams at the tumor, or internally, through radioactive materials placed near or in the cancerous tissue. The goal is to shrink tumors, eliminate cancer cells, and reduce symptoms associated with cancer. Radiotherapy is often used in conjunction with other treatments, such as surgery or chemotherapy.
