What was the role of vallabhai patel in unification of Germany?

Vallabhai Patel was an Indian statesman, freedom struggle leader and first deputy prime minister of India till his death in 1950. Patel died in 1950 almost 40 years before Germany unified. There is no role played by Patel in the unification.
