The reproductive organs in a male/ female are removed to make them infertile.

The answer given above is incorrect. NO organs are removed. A small tube, called the vas deferens, is cut, and the ends are tied. The vas carries sperm from the testicles to the seminal vesicles. Once it is cut, the ejaculate carries no more sperm out of the body. After a vasectomy the man is no longer fertile, and cannot reproduce.
