How do you change from a spoiled person to a nice genorous one and make everyone else see that?

Do something nice for someone else, but not in a showy way. Lets say your classmate's bag wore out and they needed a new one. You could get them one, but you wouldn't spend it on a £450 Jimmy Choo bag with a matching satin purse, would you? Just be genourous, kind and caring, don't make a big show of it, and don't winge, whine and complain when something doesn't go your way.
