The moral clause seeks to reduce losses through the encouragement of presence, condition, interest and desirability of a property. This benefits the owner and the local community. By requiring the owner to maintain the property in a condition that avoids bad or decreased morale.

An insurance company cannot take an existing policy and change it against the group policyholder's permission. They can add an exclusion or remove exclusions. They cannot do anything that violates state and Federal Laws. If you buy a basic plan that covers xyz and they remove z without telling you and charge the same prices then that insurance company would need to be reported to the State Insurance Commissioner.
