Initial speed in vertical direction = 135 sin 37

Total distance traversed in vertical direction = -225 m

Acceleration due to gravity = - 9.8 m/s^2

Applying s = ut + 1/2 g t^2

-225 = 135 sin 37 t - 4.9 t^2

But sin 37 = 0.6 approx

So 4.9 t^2 - 81 t + 225 = 0

Solving quadratic equation you can get the value of t as (1/4.9) * (+81+46.4) = 26 s OR 7 s

7 s is not suitable practically.

Hence time of traverse = 26 s
