Following the end of Lodge's term as Governor, Abraham A. Ribicoff (born April 9, 1910 in New Britain, Connecticut; died February 22, 1998 in New York, New York) became the sixty-fifth Governor of Connecticut, serving between January 5, 1955 and January 21, 1961.
