How do you understand Kant's question What is Man?

Man is part of a construct of many beings who part conform to the universal laws of nature. The other part of man is free of this conformity and creates their own laws through the actions that they commit. These form part of the duty that people are to abide by. What man cannot see but what is underlying and real becomes important and for that reason mans truth is the law.
