Hitler attempted to wipe out the Jewish population in Germany (later all over Europe). In 1935, in the Reichstag the Nazis created The Nuremberg Laws, a collection of laws protecting the German blood. Hitler said that the purity of German blood was essential for the existence of the German people. Marriages between Jews and Germans were prohibited, also any kind of relation outside marriage, Jews were prohibited to employ German women as household helps, they were forbidden to use the national colours and the flag. All who acted contrary to these laws were punished with imprisonment, a fine or hard labour.
