Does kik notify my contacts

Kik does not notify your contacts when you join or use the app. However, if you message someone on Kik, they will receive a notification if they have notifications enabled. Your contacts won't be automatically informed about your activity unless you choose to share your Kik username or connect with them directly through the app.
