First we have to take a look at what key Word bidding and affiliate marketing are so we understand the science behind it. KeyWord bidding is a section of Pay-Per click advertising where particular combinations of Words are bid on by advertisers to gain top search engine priority.

Affiliate marketing is a business where an advertiser (them) pays a publisher (you) to advertise their products. In return the advertiser pays the publisher a percentage of the sale. So for example let's say you want to sell Halloween products for Halloween Company X.

Company X pays you a commission when that customer buys something. If Company X pays out 9 bucks on a commission to sell a 30 dollar item you receive 9 bucks for every customer who buys from CompanyX.com.

KeyWord bidding is a competition amongst publishers to gain high ranking spots in SEO results and or paid ads. For example when people search for Halloween items on google.com they search for Words like "Halloween Costumes", "Halloween Mask", "Halloween Candy", etc. keyWord bidding is the amount of money you are willing to pay to get that high spot on a google page for that key Word. The higher the bid the better your chances of getting that keyWord spot.

There are of course some negatives. Some companies do not allow you to bid on certain keyWords. So make sure you do not break the rules of the advertiser you want to work for. For example if you are working for Wal-Mart. They may not allow you to bid on the keyWord "Wal-Mart". They do not want you to rank higher than they do in organic searches (None paid ads i.e. ranking number one when you type Wal-Mart.)

Your affiliate marketing skills and management will really have to come into play and you will have to use your judgment to work with the best affiliate company on the internet. There are many to choose from such as commission junction and link share just to name a few.

Here's the deal. You will be taking a huge risk on keyWord bidding as there are other affiliate marketers and bigger companies willing to pay enormous amounts of money on key Word bidding and PPC. (Pay-Per Click). Second affiliate networks only pay 3 to 7 percent commissions (sometimes more) and that's not deducting the cost of advertising (PPC). In other Words your profits are very small for the man hours you might put in.

If you are looking for an affiliate network that allows you to make $25, $100, $500 and $1000 commissions than you have to stop thinking small and start thing bigger.
