What is a paraody?

Example: you know the the movie Scary Movie? Well that's a parody of Scream, a Horror movie. It's like a remake of something except it's making fun of it. If you go on YouTube and you write parody, you will find many parodies of movies, songs, books and so on. Hope i helped.
