What is The term floating coffins referring to?

It refers to just what it sounds like. Coffins floating. Many times in flood areas the cemetery is also flooded, so coffins float up from the ground. My grandmother told me that when she was a child in Kansas City Missouri there was a flood and she had to go with her mother to find her grandfathers coffin in the cemetery. That stuck with her all of her life.
