Yes they do. It depends on who you believe or where. Some say 15%, which is unlikely; some say 10%, also unlikely; others say 8%, again not likely; and those whose say 3 to 5 % I find may be likely. The engine are less effeicient than the automobile engines, mostly, but they are used less in time and number. I would say automobiles, industry and power plants are the majot contributors
