How do you get rid of a red shiny patch of skin on your nose?

Proactiv designed a product just for this. They are called "Blotter Sheets."

They are thin layers of rice paper that soak up excess oil around the nose. I've used them, and I was quite pleased with the result.

If you're unable to get Proactiv, I would recommend Oxy's line of products.

1) Clean your face twice daily - preferably in the morning and at night.

2) Try to resist the urge to touch your face during the day. It spreads acne bacteria.

3) DO NOT pop your pimples. This helps spread the bacteria and may cause scarring.
