How can Qantas staff get discounts on travel?

Qantas staff can get discounts on flights to and from places. It seems there are no real answers and only opinions as to how the staff get these discounts, some facts/opinions included; you must have worked with Qantas for at least 7 years and the higher up you are the higher the discount you receive.
