What is the cause and risk factors for gastritis?

Gastritis is primarily caused by inflammation of the stomach lining, often due to factors such as infection with Helicobacter pylori bacteria, excessive alcohol consumption, prolonged use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and autoimmune disorders.
