Not all Nazi leaders were convicted of war crimes after World War II. For example, Adolf Hitler committed suicide in 1945 and thus never faced trial. Similarly, Heinrich Himmler, the head of the SS, also died by suicide before he could be captured and prosecuted. Other notable figures, like Joseph Goebbels, died before they could be held accountable for their actions.
