How many people eat beef?

Most of the Western world eats cow. Within the Eastern countries, Japan is famous for a particular cut of cow. The pig is forbidden in Islam and Judaism, but the Christian will eat any large animal. Cow, pig, chicken, buffalo, and sheep are very common to the Western table. It is only in the Eastern religions that the cow is forbidden.
