How many elephats are there in the world?

It is difficult to provide an exact number as wild elephant populations constantly change due to various factors such as habitat loss and poaching. However, estimates suggest there are around 400,000 to 600,000 African elephants and 30,000 to 50,000 Asian elephants in the world.
