What countries belong to the US?

The United States does not own any countries, but it has territories that are under its jurisdiction. These include Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands. Each territory has a unique status and relationship with the U.S., but they are not states.
