Is smoking Marijuana at the age of 13-14 bad?

There have been studies that show that it kills brain cells, but so does watching television and being on the computer. Overall, marijuana is less harmful than alcohol. just to give you a reference point. However, I should point out that in the US, it is a contraband drug.
