What are animals used for?

- They can be used to produce meat or animal products - beef, ham, wool, milk, leather, fertilizer, etc.

- They can be kept as show animals to be aesthetically pleasing and earn prize money

- They can be used for research and teaching

- They can be used by law-enforcement for drug/explosive detection

- They can be used by rescue organizations (to search through rubble)

- They can be used for entertainment (eg. riding, hunting, trick performing)

- They can be used to plow fields or draw wagons/carriages
