To replace the head on a Dodge D50 2.6, first, disconnect the battery and drain the coolant. Remove the intake and exhaust manifolds, disconnect all associated wiring and hoses, and then unbolt the cylinder head from the engine block. Clean the mating surfaces, install a new head gasket, and carefully place the new head onto the block, torquing the bolts to the manufacturer’s specifications. Finally, reassemble the components in reverse order, refill the coolant, and reconnect the battery.
