How do you properly air up a Presta valve?

To properly air up a Presta valve, first unscrew the top cap and press down on the valve to release any remaining air. Next, attach the pump nozzle securely to the valve and inflate to the recommended pressure. Finally, remove the pump nozzle and screw the top cap back on to secure the valve.
